Work experience - What job might suit me?
A work experience of any type will give you the chance to:
- Practice and develop skills
- See what a workplace is like
- Practice talking to new people and doing new things

You could start by thinking of a particular job sector/job you would like to try out just to see what working life is like or think about doing a placement linked to a job you might like to do in the future.

Here are a few things you can do on Careerpilot to start narrowing down the job sector or job that might give you the work experience you want:

Reality Check!
Be aware if you are in Year 10 or are under 18 then there are some places and jobs that cannot have you on work experience for Health and Safety reasons.
If you are in Year 10 try and think of the places that are most likely to offer opportunities to your age group. Remember, whatever placement you get will help you practice and develop great skills!
