Accessibility
The Western Vocational Progression Consortium manages the Careerpilot (careerpilot.org.uk) and Lifepilot (life-pilot.co.uk) websites and this accessibility statement relates to both.
This website is run by Western Vocational Progression Consortium, a consortium of universities based at the University of Bath
We have sampled pages from our extensive site to check compliance with W3C standards for HTML5 and CSS, and fixed any errors raised. We strive to achieve AA accessibility rating against the web content accessibility 1.0/2.0 (WCAG).
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible and we check the readability level of our content.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible right now:
- you cannot modify the line height or spacing of text
- most older PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software
- live video streams do not have captions
