Feedback from Careerpilot users

Meeting student outcomes that mitigate inequality and support raised attainment

The Careerpilot Team has used research evidence to work with university partners to identify which risks to equality Careerpilot can help to mitigate and identified the following three that Careerpilot can support:

  • Risk 1: Students not having the knowledge and skills to progress effectively
  • Risk 2: Students not having the information and guidance they need to make effective choices.
  • Risk 3: Students not having sufficient awareness of all the routes and options they can take to HE.

Evidence also shows that mitigating these risks supports raised attainment.

To be able to assess how Careerpilot helps to mitigate these risks we have developed a set of outputs and student outcomes we evaluate and report against annually.

In 23-24, feedback from 952 students, via our survey showed:

  • 80% of Year 9 students
  • 73% of Y10 students
  • 77% of Y11 students

reported that using Careerpilot had heled them meet the identified outcomes.
