With some 20,000 students, we are a thriving South West university and remain proud of our history of welcoming students from a broad range of ages and backgrounds. Our staff pursue excellence in teaching, learning and research and the range of courses that we offer means that we can cater for most academic and career interests – from arts to law to marine science and much more.
We work in partnership with several colleges in the South West, providing a variety of accessible routes in to Higher Education throughout the region.
In addition, through the Faculty of Health, the University of Plymouth is responsible for a large part of the training for doctors, dentists, nurses and midwifes in the region. Our students develop strong consultation and diagnostic skills and emerge as well-rounded clinicians, ready for the NHS of the future.
