17TH EDITION
C&G 2382-12 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Amendment 1
From the 1st January 2012 this will be the only qualification available for those wishing to demonstrate a knowledge of the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations and is only available as a two hour, sixty question exam. There are however different routes to achieving this qualification, please see our website for further information.
INSPECTION & TESTING
C&G 2392-10 Fundamental Inspection, Testing & Initial Verification
This qualification is designed for practicing electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some update training before going to to achieve the City & Guilds 2391-10.
C&G 2394/2395 or EAL 4337/4338 Initial Verification / Periodic Inspection, Testing & Certification
This training course is for qualified electricians with previous experience of inspection and testing and a good working knowledge of the IEE Wiring Regulations 17th Edition.
DESIGN
C&G 2396 Design, Erection & Verification
This theory based course is intended for those who will be designing electrical installations. It will provide delegates with the necessary information and knowledge to design and erect an electrical installation.
PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTING
C&G 2377-22 Portable Appliance Testing
This is a portable appliance testing course suitable for those who undertake inspection and testing of electrical equipment.
C&G 2377-11 Management of Electrical Equipment
Designed for persons who have responsibility for maintenance within a building to ensure compliance with the Electricity at Work Regulations with regard to in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment (PAT testing).
BUILDING REGULATIONS
C&G 2393-10 Building Regulations
The primary aim of this qualification is to enable practising electricians operating in the domestic environment to gain an understanding of to design and install how electrical installations in dwellings to comply with all relevant Building Regulations.
GREEN ENERGY
This is a quality, in-depth course designed to equip installers and designers with the knowledge to be able to design, install, test, commission and maintain small scale solar photovoltaic systems.
This course is designed to take installers through the MCS registration process quickly and efficiently, in preparation for a successful MCS scheme assessment.
C&G 6066 Green Deal Domestic Advice
This qualification enables the learner to become a Domestic Green Deal Advisor to be able to undertake energy inspections, create and lodge Energy Performance Certificates (EPC's), understand domestic energy assessment and Green Deal policy, issue and lodge Green Deal Assessment Reports (GDAR), and provide advice to customers based on the Green Deal Assessment Report.
BPEC Domestic Ventilation Systems
This course is designed for experienced electrical, heating or plumbing installers who have responsibility for the design, installation, inspection, testing and commissioning of domestic ventilation systems.

HEALTH & SAFETY
ECS Health & Safety Assessment
This qualification is for practicing operatives in the electrical industry and enables holders to apply for the CSCS hologram to be put on their Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) card which is affiliated to the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).
This is a mandatory training requirement under Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations for all those who are exposed or liable to be exposed to Asbestos or those who supervise or manage such employees.
