Property management

What's this about?

There are lots of different careers managing properties. These require different skills depending on what you are managing.

You may be working as a letting agent managing flats for landlords, finding tenants for their properties and ensuring that they are maintained.

Or you could be helping people to buy and sell houses as an estate agent.

Large buildings, such as hospitals, need a manager to look after the building, oversee any maintenance work and deal with any sub-contractors on site. The manager is responsible for key services like heating, ventilation, lighting, cleaning, recycling and parking.

Historic buildings also have a specialist team to ensure that the building, contents and grounds are maintained.
