What's this about?
Distribution involves getting products out into stores and supermarkets on time.
This may mean for example with a chocolate bar, importing the chocolate bars from the manufacturer, storing them, and then getting the chocolate bar out to customers in shops, or through delivery companies.
You could work in sales making sure you can get your chocolate bars into shops. You could be involved in online sales and making sure the products are delivered to the distribution centre on time.
There are lots of practical jobs at a distribution centre such as; driving a forklift truck and packing boxes and lorries or you could be involved in driving the chocolate to the supermarkets or straight to the customer. There are also people whose role it is to manage the customer experience and monitor the service that customers received and how to improve the distribution process.
