How do you use Careerpilot?

We have used Careerpilot as a resource for student and parents at the school. We have a link to the site from our school website and have promoted the website at open evenings and events. Some students have also used the site in the classroom to explore subjects, career paths, courses and labour market information, usually at key transition times – when making options choices or post 16 choices.

How does Careerpilot help young people make informed decisions?

Careerpilot contains easily accessible information and advice  for young people and parents and the information is kept up to date and regionalised. It helps young people to explore qualifications, job sectors, opportunities and progression paths.

What impact do you think it has on students?

It provides an excellent source of information both new and to reinforce/further explore information provided in the classroom, at careers events or through one to one meetings.

How does Careerpilot support your role as a careers adviser in school?

Support in delivering our CEIAG programme. Helpful to use in 1 to 1 meetings with students, at parent events, in student mentoring.
