Pathway to Bath - Year 12

Pathway to Bath is a free online programme for Year 12 (UK) students, who meet our Widening Participation Criteria.

The programme provides students with

- the opportunity to work with experienced staff and current students

- explore a chosen subject in-depth

- develop key academic skills for university study and beyond

Students gain insights into what teaching and learning is like at university and have the opportunity to apply for a place on a free 3-day residential visit to campus in the summer.

The programme is designed to fit around your busy schedule. Live sessions will take place on Wednesday late afternoons but will be recorded. Upon successful completion of the programme, you may be eligible for a guaranteed conditional offer.

                                         

Discover Bath - Year 12

A residential programme

The Be Ready programme offers a wide range of free, engaging, in-person and online presentations and guidance sessions, providing support to students, teachers, and parents/carers.


Target Bath - Year 12

Target Bath supports UK based students of Black African and Caribbean heritage to gain places at the University of Bath. The programme is run in partnership with Rare Recruitment during Years 12 and 13 and provides insight into life at Bath as a Black student, support with degree subject choices, preparing for the UCAS process and 1:1 personal statement reviews. 

Target Bath students will also visit campus and additionally participate in Discover Bath academic summer school.


Ask Bath - Years 10-13

Ask Bath is an online chat service for students in Years 10-13 from widening participation backgrounds. Ask Bath offers academic peer support, information about university applications and insight into life at university. It offers instant messaging for students via a secure platform enabling them to link up with an E-Mentor whenever and where ever they want, for as short or long a time as they like.


Apply with Bath - Year 13

Apply with Bath is a free, flexible online programme that supports Year 13 students through the journey of applying to the University of Bath. 

You will have the opportunity to chat with undergraduates already enrolled on courses at Bath and get help with your UCAS application, including 1:1 personal statement support. This is a pick and mix self-paced programme where you choose the elements which are most useful to you.

 

Autism Summer School - Year 11

The Autism Summer School is a free-of-charge, one-night residential for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who will complete Year 11 in June-July 2025.
This residential aims to give autistic students and their parent/carer the chance to experience higher education and university life. The event also aims to equip students with some of the skills to ease their transition to the next stage of their educational journey.


Campus visits for schools and colleges - Years 7-13

Visit us with your students to discover more about the University, our facilities and what student life is really like.
Campus visits typically include a campus tour led by one of our trained student ambassadors as well as a talk on applying to or studying at university. Where requested, we may be able to arrange a subject-specific talk or workshop.
These visits are an ideal opportunity for your students to experience our campus and to gain an insight into university life.

Teacher Champion CPD Programme

The Teacher Champion Programme is a free, online programme that runs from March-July, providing regular online sessions, bringing together professionals working in UK state schools and colleges who share a passion for championing access to higher education for underrepresented students. The programme also includes an opportunity to attend our on-campus Teacher Conference. It is available for professionals from UK state schools or colleges.
