We’re pleased to offer a number of outreach activities at the RAU aimed at widening participation and raising students’ aspirations. Many of the sessions and activities below can be tailored to meet your needs; contact us below for more details on these activities.

Presentations and Workshops

We offer a number of presentations and workshops on a range of topics such as Student Finance, the UCAS Process and Personal Statements and Introduction to Higher Education as well as raising aspirations sessions which encourage students to think about University, set goals and learn new skills. These sessions, which can be tailored to your requirements, are normally delivered in school, however, they can also be delivered live online or pre-recorded to suit you.

Campus Visits

We can arrange tailored campus visits for pre and post 16 students. During the visit students will get a tour of the campus from current students and participate in academic taster sessions or any of our presentations and workshops on university. A visit to one of our farms for a session can also be part of the day.

Year 10 Residential Summer School

The Year 10 Summer School gives local students the chance to explore what university life might look like, by experiencing living in halls of residence and attending academic taster sessions. For further information and eligibility criteria, please visit our website: www.rau.ac.uk/year-10-summer-residential-course.

Discover RAU – Year 12 summer residential

Discover RAU is for students in year 12 who are interested in applying to study at the RAU. Students get the chance to live in accommodation and attend taster sessions split into their areas of interest. It provides the opportunity for students to meet and make friends with others who may become their classmates in the future. There is a small cost to attend this summer school, however, free spaces are available for students who are eligible.
