Careerpilot is an invaluable resource for students, parents and carers as well as teachers and advisers. As Careers Advisers we use Careerpilot in our guidance interviews as a starting point for research as it is so comprehensive, covering all the options open to them between 13-19. This enables students to have a full picture of their options on one site rather than having to go to many, although it does provide the links to other websites, enabling students to make informed decisions. It is because it has such comprehensive information that the students find it so useful as it fills the gap left where careers education in schools may not be as comprehensive as it has been in the past. As professional advisers we have used the teaching resources and videos as a trigger to develop our group work activities. It is clear, easy to navigate and is our ‘go to website’! As an impartial website, it is the website we suggest using first.

"A comprehensive and easy to navigate resource that I use to find relevant information either for myself or to signpost others to. Careerpilot has been shared to schools as a free resource along with training for key members of staff on how to use it. The information does not lead in any way and is not biased with clear answers to many questions that young people will be concerned about. A relevant topic I will be using and sharing is the ‘Your Choices at 14’ section which links in with activities we have been promoting to support careers advisers in schools and young people to make more of an informed decision when making their GCSE choices."

"Speaking as a partner, I find Careerpilot to be a very useful source of information to support my work with schools in south Wiltshire. It’s very comprehensive and although it contains a lot of detailed information on topics such as making choices, qualifications, job roles and education and training providers, its design and layout means I can find the information I need quickly and easily."
