LMI in a Box (G 2)

Introduction

Welcome to LMI in a Box

Good quality Labour Market Information (LMI) can help a young person make career decisions and plan their future. In a rapidly changing local, UK and global jobs market young people can no longer solely rely upon the experiences and advice of their family and friends.

Labour Market Information in relation to careers generally includes information on general employment trends, data on what jobs exists, how many and in which sectors and job types, information on the demand for skill, the supply and where current and future skills gaps and shortages might exist and what job progression opportunities are available.

The National Careers Service produce regional infographics which shows current employment trends, they do this every three months. These are easy to use resources with students.

The Careerometer uses national LMI data to provide information on how a specific job will grow. Students can compare up to three jobs.

The Local Enterprise Partnerships use data to predict how the job market will grow and development in the future. The links below will take you to some of the key information about future growth across the regions of the South of England.
