Presentations to use with KS4: Using Careerpilot to make post 16 choices
There are several presentations that can be used with Year 10 and Year 11. They can be used as a stand-alone session or as part of our 5 week PHSE programme (see below). Each presentation has introductory questions and directs the students to a set of age appropriate activities that are on Careerpilot.
The presentations can be used as a quick introductions to the site or in a 50-60 minute session with a whole group, with students completing the suggested activities on a computer/tablet or mobile phone. The activities could also be completed at home.
Some of the presentations are also the first session in the 5 week PHSE schemes (see below).
Year 10 - Using Careerpilot to help plan work experience and research post 16 options (Also, Y10 Lesson 1 of 5 week PHSE)
Year 10 - Using Careerpilot to prepare for virtual WEX
Year 11 - Using Careerpilot to make post 16 and career choices (Also, Y11 Lesson 1 of 5 week PHSE))
Pathway Planner Schools
There are two options:
1. If you only have one hour when students can be at computer then do the pre-guidance session, which includes a summary of options AND completing the Pathway Planner in a 50-60 minutes session. Use the Y11 presentation link here.
2. If you have more time and are using the Y11, 5 week PHSE programme (links below), use the starter lesson 1 presentation below and then, in lesson 5, use the 'Completing the Pathway Planner' Powerpoint (15 mins), which you can access in the Y11 resources below.
