The Gatsby Report recommended eight benchmarks for good careers guidance in school.
This was adopted by government and forms the basis of the government's current careers strategy

COMPASS EVALUATION TOOL
Many schools are using Compass, a free self-evaluation tool developed by the CEC for schools and sixth forms in England that gives you an immediate confidential evaluation of how your school is performing against the eight benchmarks. Compass can help you focus on what you need to do next to achieve all 8 benchmarks.
The Career Development Institute Framework
A useful framework for careers, employability and enterprise education 7-19 was developed by the Careers Development Institute to support the planning, delivery and evaluation of careers, employability and enterprise education for schools and colleges in England.
This is currently being reviewed - with a new framework expected in 2021.
