Free encounters with universities - Gatsby Benchmark 7

University of Gloucestershire

The University of Gloucestershire Outreach Team largely work with schools and colleges in the South West and Midlands to deliver a targeted programme of activities and events for students to help them make an informed decision about progression to higher education.

The focus of our work is to educate, advise and inspire students to consider higher education, especially those who may not have previously considered it an option.

Presentations and workshops

We offer several informative and interactive presentations and workshops on a range of topics such as Student Finance, Why Go?, Student life, Personal statements and more, as well as subject specific course talks and workshops. We aim to work with both Pre- and Post-16 students. These sessions, which can be tailored to your requirements, are ordinarily available for delivery on campus or in your institution; however, they can also be delivered live online or pre-recorded to suit your needs. Please visit our Careers Pilot page or our university Outreach page to find out more.

Visit us virtually

We know the most effective way for students to gain a better understanding of what university is really like is to visit us on campus, but as this isn't currently possible, we have some exciting digital alternatives, including our popular online open days.

To request a virtual guided tour please contact our Outreach Team stating which courses your students are interested in applying for.

We care about the future of our students and the planet. That's why we're leading the way by putting a stop to a printed prospectus, which you can now read online. We've also been named the UK's most sustainable university.

Year 12 Summer School

We run an annual summer school for Year 12 students to get a taste of university life. Students experience taster sessions in a subject area of their choice, alongside sessions to provide further insight and support progression to higher education. As part of this, they will explore our campuses and socialise with other students from across the country.

In 2021, this will run virtually.

Applications are open now and close Friday 30 April 2021. Apply now

Higher Education and Careers Fairs
